Latvia v Andorra

Andorra have shipped nine goals without response in their last five matches, with four losses and a draw. Albania are only one draw better across their last five matches, and have scored one goal to six. Latvia have the rub over Andorra, though, winning three and drawing two of their last five matches against Albania, including a 5-0 and 3-0 victory. I wouldn’t expect a goal fest, but this should be a win for Latvia.

Norway v Israel

Both sides have been knocking them in during qualification, but one huge difference between the sides will be the colossal figure of Erling Haaland. Israel pushed Italy hard in a 4-5 home defeat, but having been beaten 2-4 at home by Norway, I see little hope for them winning away. Could be a tight match, with Norway running away with it in the last quarter.

Serbia v Albania

Serbia were mauled 5-0 by England yet beat Austria 2-0… but they drew 0-0 in their last match with Albania, who have struggled to score of late, aside from netting three against Andorra, who have lost five in five. The two teams are in a tight race for the second qualifying spot in Group K, so I can’t see much maverick play-making in this match-up.

Bulgaria v Turkey

Bulgaria have lost four and drawn one of their last five, conceding 14 goals and scoring just three, two coming in their friendly draw against low-ranked Cyprus. Turkey have won three and lost two of their last five games, but the fact that they have beaten Bulgaria in their last two meetings by six goals to nil suggests that Turkey will take the points.
