Equatorial Guinea cruised to a comfortable 2-0 victory over Cambodia in the opening FIFA Series fixture last weekend.

Equatorial Guinea took the lead in the tenth minute of the match against Cambodia, doubling their tally 26 minutes later to take control of the contest.

The Leopards could not ruffle the back of the net for a third time during the second half, blunting their opponents to one shot on target during the game.

Equatorial Guinea had 50% possession and 12 shots in the match, with seven attempts on target.

Before that result, Equatorial Guinea were in fine form at the recent AFCON finals, dominating their group after drawing 1-1 against Nigeria, beating Guinea-Bissau 4-2 and thrashing eventual champions the Ivory Coast before losing 1-0 against Guinea in the round of 16.

Equatorial Guinea have an opportunity to pick up their first victory over Cape Verde as they were one of the form teams at the recent AFCON finals before the surprising exit; however, it will be a tight affair, as their opponents have been playing well. 

Head coach Juan Micha will likely keep a similar line-up that defeated Cambodia.
