  • Libya have won 2 of their last 5 fixtures.
  • Libya have scored 7 goals in 5 games.
  • Libya have conceded 6 goals in 5 matches.
  • Mauritania have drawn 3 of their last 5 fixtures.
  • Mauritania have scored 3 goals in 5 matches.
  • Mauritania have conceded 4 goals in 5 games.

Head to Head

Mauritania have a slight edge with one victory to none against Libya, including one draw in two meetings.

Libya Form

Libya came up short in their bid to reach the 2026 FIFA World Cup after drawing 3-3 with Cape Verde and 0-0 with Mauritius in their final two qualifiers in October.

Before that, Libya defeated Angola 1-0 and Eswatini 2-0 in back-to-back World Cup qualifying matches.

The Mediterranean Knights have won two of their last five fixtures, including one defeat and two draws. They have scored seven goals and conceded six goals at the back.

Libya have struggled to close out their matches lately, but had solid form before that and will have a chance of victory against Mauritania if they can replicate those performances.

Libya's squad for the clash with Mauritania will likely consist of the following players:

Goalkeepers: Murad Al Wuheeshi, Mohamed Ayad, Aseel Al Maqsabi

Mauritania Form

Mauritania earned a draw against Tunisia in their international friendly match mid-week after the score ended 1-1 at full-time.

Mauritania conceded first in the 38th minute of the match to trail 1-0 against Tunisia at half-time.

Mauritania did not take long after the restart to level matters, equalising after 51 minutes of play.

The Mourabitounes did not have much success during their FIFA World Cup qualifiers between September and October. They defeated Togo 2-0, drew 0-0 with South Sudan and Sudan, then lost 4-0 to Senegal.

The Lions of Chinguetti have secured one victory in their last five fixtures, including one defeat and three draws. They scored three goals and conceded four.

Mauritania have not lost many in recent matches, but they are prone to drawing as they lack firepower up front.
