Defending champions Senegal knocked co-hosts Uganda out of the CAF African Nations Championship after securing a 1-0 victory in their quarter-final clash last weekend. 

Senegal could not find a goal in the first half against Uganda, as the two sides went into the break locked in a stalemate.

Senegal took the lead against Uganda 17 minutes into the second half, gaining the upper hand and holding onto the advantage until the final whistle. 

Senegal had 41% possession and seven shots during the game, with three on target.

Senegal narrowly defeated Nigeria 1-0, drew 1-1 with Congo, and finished with a 0-0 draw against Sudan in their CHAN group matches. 

The Lions of Teranga have registered two victories in their last five fixtures, including three draws. They scored four goals and conceded three. 

Senegal have had a solid tournament so far, seldom conceding goals, although they have not been the most prolific up front lately, and have lost four of their last five meetings against Morocco.
