There are three groups for the tournament. Group A comprises South Africa, Mozambique, eSwatini and Botswana.
Zambia, the defending Champions, are in Group B alongside Kenya, Comoros and Zimbabwe. Group C has Angola, Namibia, Lesotho and Seychelles.
Bafana Bafana “B” Squad in Full
Helman Mkhalele will coach South Africa in the tournament and not usual Bafana Bafana head coach, Hugo Broos. It is effectively a “B” team for what is a minor tournament.
No Kaizer Chiefs or Orlando Pirates players are in the squad. It was expected that those clubs would not release members of their squads as the tournament clashes with pre-season and this is not over official FIFA dates.
The full squad is below. It includes two Mamelodi Sundowns players in Malebogo Modise and Thabang Sibanyoni. The duo spent last season on loan at Chippa United and AmaTuks respectively.
