South Africa Form

South Africa secured a point in their opening African Nations Championship match last weekend, drawing 1-1 against Algeria.

South Africa were the first to concede when Algeria scored a goal in the 29th minute of the match; however, Bafana Bafana levelled matters on the stroke of half-time.

South Africa failed to find an opening in the second half, settling for a share of the spoils with Algeria.

South Africa had 53% possession and seven shots during the game, with two attempts on target.

Bafana Bafana have won two of their last five fixtures, including one loss and two draws. They scored six goals and conceded five.

South Africa will be pleased to have picked up a point against Algeria and will have the belief they can get the winning result against a Guinea side that struggled in their last outing.

Guinea Form

Guinea succumbed to their first loss in Group C of the CAF African Nations Championship last weekend, losing 3-0 to co-hosts Uganda.

Guinea did not create many chances to score in the first half, as Uganda took the lead in the 31st minute of the match.

Guinea conceded again 17 minutes into the second half, when Uganda slotted home a penalty and for a third time at the 89-minute mark.

Guinea had 59% possession and six shots during the game, with two attempts on target.

Before that, Guinea edged Niger 1-0 in their opening CHAN fixture.

The Syli National have registered one victory in their last five fixtures, including one loss and three draws. They scored four goals and let in four at the back.

Guinea will be disappointed with their effort against Uganda and must improve their defence to have a chance of beating South Africa.
