Uganda Form

Uganda returned to form with a solid 3-0 victory over Guinea in their CAF African Nations Championship encounter last weekend.

Uganda took the lead after 31 minutes of play to gain the early advantage against Guinea.

Uganda scored their second goal from a spot kick in the 62nd minute of the match and grabbed their third a minute before the end of 90 minutes.

The Cranes had 41% possession and 12 shots during the match, with four attempts on target.

Uganda lost 3-0 to Algeria in their opening CHAN Group C fixture.

The Cranes have won two of their last five fixtures, including two losses and one draw. They scored six goals and conceded six.

Uganda will be pleased with their efforts to get their campaign back on track and will start confidently against a Niger side struggling to win regularly.

Niger Form

Niger came up short in their opening Group C match against Guinea last week, losing by a goal to nil.

Niger had moments to score during both halves of the contest, but their finishing let them down.

Niger had 47% possession and eight shots during the game, with one attempt on target.

Before that loss, Niger defeated Gabon 4-3 and drew 1-1 against Zimbabwe and 0-0 against the Central African Republic in three international friendlies between June and July.

The Mena have secured one victory in their last five fixtures, including two losses and two draws. They scored six goals and let in nine at the back.

Niger must produce a clinical performance up front if they want to come away with all three points when they take on a Ugandan side that played well in their previous match.
