Uganda Form

Uganda scored two late goals to secure a 3-3 draw against South Africa on Monday, booking their place in the CHAN quarter-finals.

Uganda scored the opening goal in the first half against South Africa after 31 minutes of play to gain the upper hand.

Uganda conceded seven minutes into the second half, and again six minutes later, before South Africa added a third goal in the 93rd minute of the match.

However, Uganda pulled a goal back from a penalty kick at the 88-minute mark and equalised from another penalty kick six minutes into stoppage time.

The Cranes had 44% possession and 12 shots during the match, with four on target.

Earlier in the tournament, Uganda lost 3-0 to Algeria before beating Guinea 3-0 and Niger 2-0 in their CAF African Nations Championship Group C games.

The Cranes have won three of their last five fixtures, including one draw and one loss. They scored ten goals and conceded seven.

Uganda have been performing well in the tournament and are scoring plenty of goals, giving them the edge needed to secure their place in the semi-finals with a victory against Senegal.

Senegal Form

Senegal played to a goalless draw against Sudan in their final CAF African Nations Championship group match on Tuesday, securing their place in the quarter-finals.

Senegal had the majority of possession against Sudan, but settled for a point after failing to find a winning goal during the contest.

Senegal had 64% possession and eight shots during the game, with one on target.

Senegal edged Nigeria and drew 1-1 against Congo in their other CHAN group games.

The Lions of Teranga have secured one victory in their last five fixtures, including two defeats and two draws. They scored four goals and let in five at the back.

Senegal have struggled to win their matches in recent outings and are lacking goals, which could be their undoing when they tackle co-hosts Uganda for a place in the semi-finals.
