Head to Head

Zambia and Angola have each won five matches and drawn five times in 15 meetings.

Zambia Form

Zambia had no answer against the DR Congo in their opening CAF African Nations Championship group game mid-week, losing by two goals to nil.

Zambia could not find an opening in the first half, going into the break on level terms with the DR Congo.

Zambia were left trailing early in the second half after the DR Congo scored in the 51st minute of the match, and were two goals down 20 minutes later.

Zambia had 60% possession and six shots during the game, with two attempts on target.

Chipolopolo have won three of their last five fixtures, including two defeats. They scored four goals and conceded seven.

Zambia did not enjoy the start they wanted in this tournament, but they will fancy their chances against a lacklustre Angolan side.

Angola Form

Angola secured their first point in Group A of the CAF African Nations Championship after drawing 1-1 against co-hosts Kenya mid-week.

Angola had the perfect start against Kenya, taking the lead after seven minutes of play, but conceded five minutes later before Kenya had a player sent off.

Angola created numerous chances to find the winning goal during the remainder of the contest, but their finishing let them down.

Palancas Negras had 71% possession and 25 shots during the match, with seven attempts on target.

Before that, Angola lost 2-0 to Morocco in their opening CHAN fixture in Group A.

Palancas Negras have drawn two of their last five fixtures, including three losses. They scored three goals and conceded seven.

Angola will rue their missed chances in their previous outing, and they have been struggling to secure victories lately.
