PSL Schedule Released
The newly named Betway Premiership has announced its fixture list for the new season. Despite the MTN8 kicking off on 3 August, the PSL will only begin on 14 September.

The first round of action sees Mamelodi Sundowns host SuperSport United at 3 pm SAST, with Orlando Pirates vs Chippa United at 5.30 pm SAST.
Another headline fixture on the opening day is Marumo Gallants vs Kaizer Chiefs at Toyota Stadium at 5.30 pm.
Sundowns’ First Five Fixtures
Mamelodi Sundowns’ quest for an eighth-straight title with see them host Marumo Gallants in round two before a huge clash vs Kaizer Chiefs on 28 September.
After a trip to Polokwane City, Sundowns will host a Cape Town City side who inflicted a defeat on them back in May.
In addition to these league commitments, Masandawana will have an MTN8 semi-final and CAF Champions League qualifying matches.
Chiefs’ Tough Start
Having finished outside the top eight last season, Amakhosi will hope for a better campaign under new coach Nasreddine Nabi.
Their first five fixtures are as follows:

- Kaizer Chiefs vs Stellenbosch – Sunday, September 22, FNB Stadium, 3 pm SAST
- AmaZulu vs Kaizer Chiefs – Wednesday, September 25, King Zwelithini Stadium, 7.30 pm SAST
- Kaizer Chiefs vs Mamelodi Sundowns – Saturday, September 28, FNB Stadium, 3 pm SAST
- SuperSport United vs Kaizer Chiefs – Saturday, October 26, Lucas Moripe Stadium, 5.30 pm SAST
Bucs Begin Title Chase
Orlando Pirates will have ambitions to push Sundowns for the title in the 2024-25 season. Their first fixture sees them take on one of their favourite opponents in Chippa United.
Pirates have won 17 of their last 21 matches vs the Chilli Boys. Their opening five league matches are as follows:
