Magesi vs Sekhukhune United Predictions

Sekhukhune are tipped to end Magesi’s winning streak here. Babino Noko are pushing for CAF qualification and I see them winning with both teams on target.

  • Magesi have lost 10 of their last 19 PSL matches.

  • Sekhukhune United have seen BTTS Yes in 10 of their last 13 PSL matches.

Head to Head

These clubs met for the first time in September.

Sekhukhune United won 1-0 at home in the reverse fixture.

Magesi Form & Team News

Magesi have had a remarkable turnaround in their season. Seven wins in their last 10 matches has seen them move five points clear of the relegation spot.

After a 1-0 loss at Kaizer Chiefs, they have won four straight fixtures. A 1-0 home win over Richards Bay was followed by a 1-0 home win over Golden Arrows with 34% possession.

They beat Stellenbosch 1-0 on home turf with 39% possession before a 2-1 home win over TS Galaxy. Magesi allowed 2.04 xG in a somewhat fortunate victory.

Coach Owen Da Gama has been using a 5-2-3 formation in recent matches. He will be without top striker Wonderboy Makhubu so Thabang Sibanyoni will lead the line.

Winger Edmore Chirambadare is still out injured. Fellow wide player Tshepo Mashigo is also nursing an injury.

Magesi Predicted Lineup

Chipezeze; Abrahams, L. Mokone, Buthelezi, Makgopa, J. Mokone; Darpoh, Mtshali; Vandala, Sibanyoni, Rademeyer.

Sekhukhune United Form & Team News

Babina Noko sit third in the PSL after three wins in the last four PSL fixtures. They’re just two points off second place but have played four more matches.

They won 2-1 at home vs Marumo Gallants under new coach Eric Tinkler. A 2-1 home defeat to Stellenbosch and a 1-0 Nedbank Cup defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns followed.

Two wins followed, 2-1 at Cape Town City and 2-0 at home vs Polokwane City. After drawing 1-1 at TS Galaxy, they pulled off a shock 1-0 win at Orlando Pirates in midweek with just 25% possession.

Sekhukhune are without left back Sikhosonke Langa due to suspension. Sipho Mbule is doubtful in midfield due to injury.

Captain Linda Mntambo may return to the XI. Left back Vuyo Letlapa is also expected to be back.

Sekhukhune United Predicted Lineup

Leaner; Tshibwabwa, Cardoso, Letlapa; Mogaila, Mkhize, Monare, Rammala; Mntambo, Makgalwa; Ohizu.

Verdict

I'm predicting an away win with BTTS Yes in the fixture.
