PSL 2023-24 Player Awards Announced - Sundowns & Pirates Scoop 13 Honours

Sundowns Take Six Awards


The big winners on the evening were the Champions, Mamelodi Sundowns. They scooped the Chairman’s award as they lost just one league match all season.

Sundowns’ Ronwen Williams won the PSL Footballer of the Season and the DStv Premiership Goalkeeper of the Season awards. 

The coach of the season honour went to Rhulani Mokwena whilst Grant Kekana won Defender of the Season. 

For the reserve league, Ntando Nkosi won the DStv Diski Challenge Rewired Player of the Season gong.

Pirates Take Home Seven Gongs


Bucs won two domestic cup competitions and finished second in the league. They took home the big award of the evening as Patrick Maswanganyi won the DStv Premiership Player’s Player of the Season.

Tshegofatso Mabasa took home the Golden Boot as he netted 16 goals. Six of those were on loan at Moroka Swallows with the other 10 behind netted for Pirates.
