TS Galaxy vs Orlando Pirates Predictions & Tips - Pirates win tipped to close gap to second place

TS Galaxy have dropped off a cliff since securing PSL survival due to their goalscoring woes. Pirates are playing well in the league thanks to a strong backline. I am tipping an away win for Pirates to close the gap to the Champions League places.

These sides have met on one previous occasion. That match ended in a 1-1 draw in January. Pirates took an early lead before TS Galaxy equalised.

TS Galaxy have lost focus since securing safety from relegation with six defeats in their last eight matches. They sit ninth in the PSL table with a one point gap to a top eight finish.

After losing four matches in a row with two goals conceded in each, TS Galaxy won 1-0 at Baroka. A 1-0 win against Cape Town City followed before losing 1-0 to Mamelodi Sundowns.

Their last match saw perhaps their worst performance of the season as they were beaten 3-0 at Golden Arrows.

Coach Owen da Gama is expected to make changes to his side with Bathusi Aubaas and Lindokuhle Mbatha recalled in midfield.

Mxolisi Macuphu should lead the line. Pogiso Sanoka could be handed a start in the back three.

Pirates had been on poor form as a run of one win in eight matches before beating AmaZulu. They sit second in the PSL table with a four point gap to the CAF Champions League places.

After losing 3-0 to Mamelodi Sundowns, Pirates beat Black Leopards 3-0 and then drew 0-0 at Stellenbosch after a very poor performance. They were then eliminated from the CAF Confederations Cup after a 1-1 draw and 4-0 away defeat to Raja Casablanca.

In their last match, Pirates beat second placed AmaZulu 1-0 as Gabadinho Mhango scored a freekick in the second half.

Pirates look set to be without first choice goalkeeper Richard Ofori once again. Defender Thulani Hlatshwayo missed the last match but captain Happy Jele is set to return.

Tshegofatso Mabasa is injured up front and winger Terrence Dzvukamanja is still making his way back to full fitness.
