They began their Olympics group stage with a 2-1 win against Saudi Arabia despite Aboubacar Doumbia’s late red card. Their next match brought a 0-0 draw against Brazil despite playing with a man more for 65 minutes.

Their last match was a 1-1 draw against Germany. They took the lead through a 66th minute own goal before their opponents levelled in the 73rd minute.
