Barcelona vs Rayo Vallecano

Barca come into the match on the back of four wins in a row in La Liga, while Rayo are unbeaten in their last five matches. Rayo have 12 goals in their last 10 matches on the road, while Barca have had a goal festival, racking up 40 goals in their last 10 at home. This match should be packed with goals.

Rayo have just three wins in their last 10 games on the road, so they should be no match for a Barca side that has won their last 18 matches at home on the bounce. Big win for Barca loading.

Celta Vigo vs Alaves

Celta are in the European places after losing just seven matches in La Liga this season. Alaves are two points above the drop zone and haven’t won in seven matches. Celta have scored 15 goals in 10, while Alaves have just 12 in 10, so this is looking like a low-scorer.

Alaves have one win on the road in their last five matches, averaging a goal a game. Celta have two wins and a draw in five, scoring just six goals. Neither side is showing great form at the moment, so this is looking like a clumsy 0-0 or 1-1 draw.

Athletico Bilbao vs Betis

Betis have 11 wins in the season to Bilbao’s 10, but Betis have lost just six times while Bilbao have suffered 13 defeats. Both teams have struggled in their last five, with both winning just once with Bilbao losing three times and Betis twice.

Betis are goalless in their last three matches while Betis have been shut out twice in their last four, so this is unlikely to be a classic encounter. Betis have lost their last two on the road without scoring, while Bilbao have lost two of their last three home games, failing to score in both defeats.

This has the sense of a 0-0 draw, but the more sensible bet is against both teams scoring.

Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid

Second-placed Real Madrid have a nine-point lead on Atletico, and although Real had a thumping 5-1 aggregate win over Man City in the Champions League, the visitors are enjoying better form in La Liga. Atletico have won their last four La Liga matches on the bounce, while Real have two defeats in their last four matches.

This should play to home ground advantage, as Real have won nine of their last 10 home matches, scoring 30 goals. Atletico have just three away wins in their last 10 matches, losing 3-0 to Barcelona and 3-2 to Spurs in their last two matches on the road. This should be a big win for Real, but I see both teams scoring, as Athletico have scored 14 in their last 10 away matches and have a strong attack.
