Mallorca vs Levante

An identical season so far for both teams down to goal difference. Mallorca have won two of their last three games and come into this match on the back of a superb 3-1 away win over Sevilla, coming back from 1-0 down to score three in the last 24 minutes. Levante lost their last game 3-0 at home to Rayo Vallecano, but with Mallorca’s strong home record I can only see it going Mallorca’s way.

Real Madrid vs Barcelona

Top-of-the-table Real have won nine of their last 10 games, losing only away to Atl. Madrid. Second-placed Barcelona have lost twice in their last four games but remain just two points behind Real. The difference in their sides is the power of their key goal-scorers. Barca’s Ferran Torres and Robert Lewandowski have both netted 4 times, while Real’s Kylian Mbappe has 10 goals and Vinicius Junior five. I can see more than four goals in this contest with Real to win or secure a draw.

Osasuna vs Celta Vigo

Celta Vigo have drawn seven of their nine matches but have yet to snag a win. Osasuna have reeled in three wins… but they’ve lost five, including three of their last four games (all to nil!). Celta Vigo have won two and drawn two of their last four games (the wins coming in the Europa League), so they look to have the form to sneak their first League win.

Betis vs Atl. Madrid

Another two teams with almost identical records, Betis are unbeaten in five matches, conceding just three goals. Atl. Madrid had been in great form until losing 4-0 away to Arsenal midweek in the Champions League. Their last home game saw them beat Osasuna 2-0 almost a month ago, so I think home ground advantage will put the wind in their sails enough to carve out a draw.

Verdict

Spanish La Liga

Mallorca to see off visitors Levante, while there should be plenty of goals between Real and Barca.

Celta Vigo to taste league success at last, while Betis and Atl. Madrid to play out a stalemate.
