La Liga Predictions - 9 November 2025, Matchday 12

Oviedo are propping up the table after losing seven of their 11 matches. With a goal difference of minus-12 the Athletic defence is unlikely to be over-worked. Their recent form is identical over their last 10 matches (W 2, D 2, L 6), but Athletic’s two wins have come in their last six matches, so they should have the beating of Oviedo.

Mid-table Vallecano have lost five matches this season, while Real have lost just once in the League and have won 17 of their last 20 matches. They lost away to Liverpool midweek in the Champions League, while Vallecano beat Lech Poznan 3-2 at home. Last weekend in the La Liga Vallecano were beaten 4-0 at home to Villareal, so they could be primed for a Madrid mauling. That’s the sensible bet… but Real have lost five of their last 15 matches away… and in their last six games against Vallacano, Real have won just twice, drawing three times and losing once (both away matches!). Real haven't beaten Vallacano in their last three visits to Campo de Futbol de Vallecaso. Vallacano have also won six of their last eight matches… so I’m going to go out on a limb and call this a win for Vallacano! 

Mallorca are in the drop zone with a goal difference of minus-7, while Getafe are on the edge of Europe, having picked up five wins this season. Getafe have won their last three on their bounce and gave Real Madrid a tough go at home, losing by just 1-0. Mallorca have lost two of their last four La Liga matches, losing their last match 3-0 away to Betis, so they will be staring defeat in the face despite home ground advantage.

Valencia’s struggles this season have seen them lose six matches and concede two goals to every one scored. Betis are up in 5th spot with 5 wins and 4 draws, including six wins in their last nine games (2 draws, 1 loss). Valencia have netted just twice in their last 5 La Liga games, shipping 10 goals, so this has a Betis win with a clean sheet written all over it.
