It was Swansea’s second win in six matches after the Swans ended their Championship campaign in poor form.

Steve Cooper’s side were winless in five of their last seven at the Liberty Stadium, a run which included 1-0 losses to rivals Cardiff, Preston and QPR, as well as a 2-2 draw against relegated Wycombe.

Valerien Ismael’s side will need to reclaim their solid away form to mount a come back in the second leg. The Yorkshire side won six consecutive matches on the road before two 2-0 away losses to Coventry and Preston late in the season.
