Champions League Predictions

Arsenal vs Olympiakos

Two teams both without a loss in five, but Arsenal at home aren’t easy on current form. Olympiakos top the Greek Super League, but after a home draw against battling Pafos in their Champions League opener, I don’t see them making any headway against a soaring Arsenal.

Prediction: Arsenal to win by 2 goals plus, without conceding.

Barcelona vs PSG

This is the match to watch, with both teams bursting with wins and goals. Barcelona have scored 11 goals in their last three home games, but I sense PSG will be hungrier… and a hungry PSG can be challenging for any opposition.

Prediction: PSG to pull off an away win by one goal, with 4-plus goals in the match.

Monaco vs Manchester City

City are hitting their stride, so Monaco’s home Champions League record of losing just one of their seven goals is under serious threat. Monaco took a big hit away to Club Brugge in Round 1. City have scored 13 times in their last five matches, winning four and drawing once, while Monaco have lost two of their last three games, conceding nine goals.

Prediction: City to score big as they lay down a marker for the season.

Villarreal vs Juventus

Villareal have been underperforming, while Juve have scored in each of their last five matches, 11 in five games. Their first round 4-4 draw with Dortmund suggests they won’t tread softly on their travels into the Spanish province of Castellón.

Prediction: Big win for Juventus, conceding just one first-half goal.
