Galatasaray have been in tremendous form this season, winning 18 of their last 19 games. Their opening day defeat in the Champions League was also slightly unfortunate, so I am backing them to get something at home here.

Galatasaray have won their opening seven matches in the Super Lig to build a six point lead at the top of the table. They have scored 19 goals with only two conceded.

The Turkish champions beat Konyaspor 3-1 in their previous home game. They won 1-0 at Alanyaspor on Friday, Mauro Icardi scoring in a fourth straight Lig appearance.

Okan Buruk’s side started their Champions League campaign with an unlucky 5-1 defeat at Eintracht Frankfurt. They had 62% possession and 5-5 shots in Germany where they conceded two own goals.

Liverpool Form

Liverpool started the season with a disappointing extra time defeat to Crystal Palace in the Community Shield. They won their opening five Premier League games, the first four coming thanks to late goals.

The Reds continued the theme in the Champions League, Virgil van Dijk’s 91st minute goal securing a 3-2 win over Atletico Madrid. Hugo Ekitike then scored late in the League Cup, a 2-1 win against Southampton.

Arne Slot’s side saw their luck run out on Saturday following a 2-1 defeat at Crystal Palace. Federico Chiesa equalised in the 87th minute before they conceded deep into added time.

Galatasaray regularly score goals and Liverpool have conceded six goals in four games. The Reda are too short for my liking so I am getting onside with the Turkish champions.
