Italy vs Switzerland Preview & Tips - Italy tipped for another easy win

Italy are in incredible form with nine wins in a row without conceding a single goal. After a 3-0 victory over Turkey in their opener, the Azzuri are tipped to secure their passage through to the knockout with another win to nil.

Italy have a 28-7 advantage against Switzerland in 57 meetings with 22 draws.

Italy put in a dominant display in their 3-0 win against Turkey on Friday, their ninth consecutive win without conceding. 

Italy created several good chances in the early stages and took the lead on 54 minutes when Turkey scored an own goal. The Azzurri continued to dominate, with Lorenzo Insigne and Ciro Immobile looking threatening and eventually scoring to seal the win.

Roberto Mancini’s side were in complete control with 64% possession, 64 shots and 2.04 expected goals. 

Italy are unbeaten in their last 28 matches in all competitions. They have conceded seven goals during this run and are among the favourites to reach the latter stages of Euro 2020.

Midfielder Marco Verratti is back in contention after a recent knee injury. 

Switzerland were held to a 1-1 draw against Wales in their Group A opener, ending their six-match winning run. 

Vladimir Petković’s were on top for most of the match but failed to capitalise on their chances. Switzerland controlled the match and Breel Embolo gave his side the lead just after halftime. Despite 65% possession and 18 shots, the Rossocrociati conceded late on to share the points.

Petković’s side have been hard to beat and they remain unbeaten in their last eight internationals, including a 1-1 draw with Spain and a 3-0 win against Ukraine. 

The Rossocrociati concede a lot of goals and have failed to keep a clean sheet in 11 of their last 14 matches.
