ODI Cricket World Cup 2023 Betting Odds - India odds on favourite for World Cup success

The 2023 ODI Cricket World Cup will be hosted by India and will provisionally start in October 2023. The hosts are the early frontrunners for the title but there is still plenty of time for others to make a move.

England will enter the tournament as defending champions. They are currently priced just behind India at 4.00 with betway.

The 2019 Cricket World Cup was held in England with the final between England and New Zealand arguably the greatest game of ODI cricket ever produced. The Black Caps would love to go one better and can be backed at 8.00 to go one better.

This will be the 13th edition of the ODI Cricket World Cup. The first edition was held back in 1975 where the West Indies triumphed over Australia. They defended their title in 1979.

India, Australia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and England are the other nations to have won the competition. Australia are the most successful side with five titles, including a hatrick of wins in 1999, 2003 and 2007.

South Africa are certainly the recognised as the best side to never have won the competition. They have been the best ODI side in the world at times but have failed to produce that form on the big stage. This has earned them the nickname of ‘chokers’.

It will certainly be another competitive campaign with at least five teams realistic winners.
