The Knight Riders have lost three of their last four completed matches and look easy pickings for the Delhi Capitals, who could go top of the table with a win. The Capitals’ form has been erratic, but with home ground advantage they have my vote to take this clash.

Delhi Capitals suffered their third defeat in five matches when they lost to the Royal Challengers Bengaluru by six wickets. 

Delhi Capitals struggled to get on top of the RCB attack, reaching 102/4 after 13.4 overs. Tristan Stubbs (34 off 18) helped to lift the score to 162/8 off their 20 overs. 

Royal Challengers were in trouble at 26/3 after four overs, but they recovered through a powerful fourth-wicket stand to hit their target with nine balls to spare.

The Capitals are looking even stronger with Faf du Plessis in their side. They will hope to get onto a winning streak as they push to secure a top-two finish.

Kolkata Knight Riders Form


The Knight Riders suffered their third defeat in four matches when they lost to the Gujarat Titans by 39 runs. 

Vaibhav Arora (1/44), Harshit Rana (1/45) and Andre Russell (1/13) were the only wicket-takers as the Titans scored freely to post 198/3 off their 20 overs. 

The Knight Riders were always behind the asking rate, with only Ajinkya Rahane (50 off 36 balls) scoring above 27. They ended on 159/8 off their 20 overs. Their next match was rained off one over into their innings before they could chase the Punjab Kings’ score of 201/4.
