The 18th edition of the Indian Premier League saw defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders fail to progress to the playoffs. Royal Challengers Bengaluru beat the Punjab Kings by 6 runs in the final to claim their maiden IPL title at the 18th attempt.
The Gujarat Titans boasted the leading run-scorer (Sai Sudharsan, 759 runs) and wicket-taker (Prasidh Krishna, 25 wickets. Mumbai Indians’ Suryakumar Yadav was named the tournament’s most valuable player.
