MI Cape Town captain Rashid Khan admitted that his side were too loose with ball in hand against the Capitals: "We should have restricted them to under 160. Throughout the tournament, we've struggled with our death bowling, giving away too many runs in the final overs, including today. That's an area where you lose all momentum heading into the next innings. We had them under control for the first 12 or 13 overs, but the way they finished took the game away from us. These last two games are vital; anything can happen on the table, so we'll take it one game at a time," said Khan, who has signed off from the SA as he is set to join up with the Afghanistan national team for their three-match T20 series against the West Indies as a lead-up to the T20 World Cup.

Tristan Stubbs was delighted with his side’s 61-run win over the Super Kings. "We did the basics really well today on a pretty standard St. George's wicket. That is what the game requires here, and we really executed those fundamentals. The way it spun, you generally feel that if you are struggling as a batter, it is going to be hard for the opposition too. I thought if we could get ten runs per over in the last five, it would be a good score," said Stubbs.
