The Pretoria Capitals dominated the group stages, finishing at the top with a five-point lead after winning seven out of ten matches and securing four bonus points. Capitals flattened in the final by the Sunrisers
After a strong passage through the group stages, the Capitals collapsed to 135 all out off 19.3 overs. Kusal Mendis top-scored with 21 off 19 balls, but the headline act was delivered by Roelof van der Merwe, who took 4/31 to wreck the Capitals’ innings.
The Sunrisers raced to 137/6 off 16.2 overs thanks to a breezy 30-ball 57 from Adam Rossington. Anrich Nortje did his best to contain the Sunrisers, taking 2/21 off his 4 overs.
