England vs Australia Predictions


England have a new-look side while Australia have also rested some key players for this tour, particularly in the bowling department. It should be a cracking series, but give their experience, I am backing Australia to win with the in-form Josh Inglis to get among the runs.

Of the last five T20I matches between these two teams, England have won two, there were two no results and Australia won the last encounter during the World Cup this year.

England Form


England have not played T20I cricket since the World Cup concluded in June this year. In that competition, England were knocked out at the semi-final stage by India.

Since then, the English have only played two Test series against West Indies and Sri Lanka at home. Of the six matches, they won five and lost one, but the T20 side is very different from the one that plays long format.

Jos Buttler captains the England side with a lot of new faces. There is not one player from the recently concluded Test series in the England lineup.

Australia Form


Australia, like other international sides, are building towards the next T20 Cricket World Cup. Their results this year have been strong, without ever being spectacular.

The Aussies failed to make it beyond the Super Eight stage of the T20 World Cup in June this year, but they have recently beaten Scotland 3-0 in a series.

While the Scots are not the strongest cricket nation, they have enough quality to pose teams’ problems. Australia were comfortable though, winning all the matches with relative ease.

A few Aussie batsmen performed during the Scotland series as they game all the players opportunity. However, this is not the strongest Aussie squad with a few players being rested.

I am backing Australia to win the match with Josh Inglis to top score. For England, Will Jacks is tipped in the best batsman market.
