Virat Kohli continued his form with a fine 77 runs in the 3rd T20 as India posted a total of 156 runs in 20 overs. Unfortunately for the hosts, it was only Kohli who found the middle of the bat with the next highest score 25 by Rishabh Pant.

England cruised to victory with more than an over to spare on a decent batting wicket. Despite not taking a wicket, Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled well, conceding only 27 runs in his four overs.

India Injuries & Team News

As expected, India changed things up at the top of the order for the third successive match. This time it was Shikhar Dhawan who made way for Rohit Sharma.

Sharma is likely to start again while KL Rahul failed for the third successive match. It wouldn’t be surprising to see India’s long term opening partnership of Sharma and Dhawan reunited for the 4th T20I.

England Form

England won the 3rd T20I by eight wickets in Ahmedabad to retake the lead in the five-match T20I series.

Mark Wood was the pick of the English bowlers as he took 3-31 in four overs after Eoin Morgan elected to bowl first. The 156-run total India put together always looked a bit short and England made light work of it.

Jos Buttler batted superbly, ending unbeaten in 83 off 52 balls. Opening partner, Jason Roy failed for the first time in the series after he only managed nine runs.

After Dawid Malan was dismissed for 18, Jonny Bairstow scored 40 off 28 balls to help Buttler steer England back into the lead.

England Injuries & Team News

The 3rd T20I saw Tom Curran make way for Mark Wood, who performed admirably under pressure. There was still no space for allrounder, Moeen Ali

With the series in the balance, Ali is the only other squad player who may get a run. Reece Topley and Liam Livingstone will be hoping England can wrap the series up here so that they may be given a chance in the 5th T20I.
