Pakistan Women slipped to a fourth defeat in five T20Is when they went down to the Proteas off the final ball of their 20-over match in Potchefstroom.
Natalia Pervaiz (20 off 17) was the only Pakistan top-order batter to reach 20 as they collapsed to 64/6. Skipper Fatima Sana stepped up to the plate with an astonishing innings of 90 off just 41 balls. In all she slammed nine fours and seven sixes as she lifted her side up to 18/9 off their 20 overs.
Nashra Sandhu took 2/27 (econ 6.75), knocking over the Proteas’ two top-scorers. In her previous bowling innings she picked up 3/45 against the Proteas in the World Cup in October. Ayesha Zafar (1/24) and Humna Bilal (1/32) each went for just 8.00 runs to the over.
