Who will win the Netball World Cup?
Before the tournament has even started, Australia were installed as odds-one favourites, and rightly so. The Aussies are 1.90 to add a record 12th Netball World Cup to their trophy cabinet, with the side a long way in front of their biggest rivals.
Jamaica arrive as second favourites at $4.25 but, in comparison to some other sides around them in the betting, there is a lack of pedigree there. Jamaica's best finish came in 1991, 2003 and 2007 when they finished third.
New Zealand are next in line at 5.00 to win the competition and add their sixth title. New Zealand come into this one as the reigning champions after downing Australia in the final in 2019 to end their run of three triumphs in a row.
England (6.00) are the final side seen to have a decent chance of lifting the World Cup, although they will have to do something they have never managed before and actually outlast every other side. England have managed one runners-up finish with six third-place finishes.
Hosts South Africa (67.00) are next in line, and this shows that the top-four sides in the betting are a long way ahead of their opponents in the game and in the betting.
With Australia and New Zealand winning 16 titles between them, it is tough to see other sides getting a look in.
