The 2026 FIFA World Cup is well underway with all teams having played at least once. This Saturday, 20 June sees a packed schedule with five matches taking place in a 24-hour period - we use SAST times, so one or mor of the games may fall on different days, depending on your time zone.

Scotland vs Morocco

Scotland began their first FIFA World Cup in 28 years with a 1-0 victory over Haiti. It was not convincing by the Scots as Haiti had more chances to score, but they got the job done to put themselves in a good position to qualify. Morocco on the other hand, 2022 FIFA World Cup semi-finalts and current AFCON champions, drew 1-1 with Brazil in their opener and will see this as a chance to get all three points.

Morocco are certainly the favourites going into the match but if Scotland can keep them quiet early on, it could get rather nervy. The Scots also have a large contingent of support in the USA, something that could drive the team forward. I am leaning towards a draw in this one, especially if Scotland make a strong start.

Brazil vs Haiti

Brazil are expected to win this one comfortably and anything other than a win could prove disastrous for the five-time world champions. Brazil were good against Morocco, coming from a goal down to take a point in their opening game - a game definitely expectedt to be their toughest in the group.

Haiti lost their opening fixture 1-0 to Scotland, despite having more shots on goal. The final product of Haiti just wasn't there on the day, but Brazil offer far sterner opposition.

Brazil should win this comfortably, to nil likely, but there isn't much value in that. We are looking at a Brazil win combined with the match seeing over 3.5 goals.

Turkey vs Paraguay

This should be a very interesting encounter between two sides who lost their opening group games. Turkey failed to take their many chances against Australia while Paraguay were humiliated 4-1 by hosts, USA.

Turkey may have lost against the odds but their form coming into the tournament was excellent and they can re-find that. Paraguay came into the tournament with the best defensive record of all the teams but were humiliated in their opener. A Turkey win at over evens offers the best value here.

Netherlands vs Sweden

This is a tough one to call given that Sweden were superb in their opening game while Netherlands dropped points against Japan in a 2-2 draw. Sweden thrashed Tunisia 5-1. This group is wide open with Japan still capable, so the result here for either team could will prove crucial.

The Dutch have had recent success against Sweden, so I am leaning that way, although this game is very open. I do expect to see goals, so over 2.5 goals is our best tip here.

Germany vs Ivory Coast

Germany began their World Cup is stunning fashion, putting seven goals past Curacao, but that was also sort of expected. Ivory Coast earned a hard-fought 1-0 win over Ecuador with a goal very late in the game. Germany are certainly favourites, and while Ivory Coast have a very good side, I do not see them overturning the Germans on this occasion.

We are backing this game to see under 2.5 goals with Germany to win - perhaps a 2-0 scoreline if you feel brave.
