Castres succumbed to a 34-14 away defeat to Gloucester in their opening European Rugby Champions Cup fixture before turning their fortunes around by thrashing Edinburgh 33-0 at home.

Castres have been in solid form in their last five home games in the Top 14. They defeated Racing 92 20-16, Stade Francais 29-24, and lost 28-26 to Bordeaux before beating Perpignan 23-7 and Lyon 36-22. 

Castres have been performing well at home this season, but have a tough assignment ahead against Bath, as their opponents have won five of their last seven matches.

Bath had an excellent start to their European Rugby Champions Cup campaign, cruising to a comfortable 40-15 home victory over Munster before losing 45-34 to Toulon away.

Bath have contested six additional away fixtures across all competitions this season. They defeated Harlequins 47-31, lost 22-20 to the Leicester Tigers, beat Bristol 49-19, and lost 19-17 to Gloucester before defeating Saracens 36-29 and Newcastle 50-14.
