Lyon and Toulon are very evenly matches sides, only separated by a point on their domestic league table. It is however Toulon who come into this final in better form. I am backing former European Champions to take the win by more than six points.

Toulon qualified for the final with a superb 25-16 win in the Challenge Cup semi-final against Saracens. It was a tight contest but the set piece dominance from the French club prevailed.

In the Top 14 Toulon are placed seventh, just one point ahead of Lyon. Toulon beat Bordeaux Begles 29-16 in the top 14 to kick May off.

Toulon’s last match saw then beat Pau 37-20 in the Top 14. They rested a few key players in preparation for this final but still won with relative ease.
