Argentina vs Australia U20 Predictions

Argentina were below par in their previous 2026 World Rugby U20 Championship fixture and lost to Australia earlier this year. Australia have come up just short in their last two matches but have had success against Argentina in recent clashes.

  • Australia have won 3 of their last 5 fixtures.
  • Australia have won 2 consecutive matches against Argentina.
  • Argentina have lost 3 of their last 5 fixtures.
  • Argentina lost to Australia earlier this year.

Head to Head

Australia have a slight edge over Argentina, with five victories to four in nine meetings since 2012.

Argentina U20 Form

Argentina had no answer in their fifth-place semi-final World Rugby U20 Championship match against Scotland last weekend, losing 44-26 after trailing 19-7 at half-time.

Before that result, Los Pumitas had a solid group-stage campaign, thumping the United States 78-14 and defeating Ireland 62-40 before a narrow defeat to England, losing 40-38.

Argentina will be disappointed with their performance in their previous outing at the tournament, and will have to play well to beat Australia in the seventh-place final, as they have lost two consecutive matches to their opponents.

Australia U20 Form

Australia fell short in their World Rugby U20 Championship fifth-place semi-final clash with Wales last weekend, losing 38-36  after leading their opponents 17-14 at the break.

Earlier in their campaign, the Junior Wallabies thrashed Spain 90-22 and thumped Fiji 53-17 before losing 34-29 to France.

Australia have suffered two narrow defeats in their last two matches at the World Rugby Junior Championship, but will have the belief they can turn their fortunes around when they face Argentina in the seventh-place final, having beaten their opponents earlier this year.
