Scotland vs Wales U20 Predictions

Scotland played well in their previous World Rugby U20 Championship match, but lost to Wales earlier this year. Wales have had solid success at this tournament, and have an excellent record against Scotland.

  • Wales have won 3 of their last 4 fixtures.
  • Wales have won 2 of their last 3 matches against Scotland.
  • Scotland lost to Wales earlier this year.

Head to Head

Wales have the advantage over Scotland, with 11 victories to four in 15 meetings since 2013.

Scotland U20 Form

Scotland produced a solid performance in their fifth-place semi-final match against Argentina last weekend, winning 44-26 after leading Los Pumitas 19-7 at half-time.

Earlier in their World Rugby U20 Championship group-stage campaign, the Scots defeated Italy 38-32 and lost 36-26 to New Zealand before beating Japan 43-32.

Scotland will be pleased with their performance in the previous round, but fell short against Wales at the 2026 Six Nations U20 Championship earlier this year, losing 31-21 to their opponents.

Wales U20 Form

Wales came out on top in the World Rugby Junior Championship fifth-place semi-final match against Australia last weekend, winning 38-36 after trailing 17-14 at the break.

Before that narrow victory, the Welsh edged Georgia 25-24 and thumped Uruguay 47-0 before losing 52-33 to the defending champions, South Africa,  during the group-stage of the tournament.

Wales have had a solid campaign, and have defeated Scotland in two of their last three matches, including earlier this year, giving them the edge to win the fifth-place final this weekend.
