England vs Fiji Predictions - Fiji can challenge England at Twickenham
The upcoming rugby match between England and Fiji promises a thrilling clash. Fiji has shown remarkable improvement in recent months, securing solid performances and key victories like their Pacific Nations Cup win. England, guided by Steve Borthwick, has rebounded from past struggles, evidenced by their strong Six Nations showing. Various team adjustments, including player changes by Borthwick, indicate a strategic approach. With Fiji's players ready and a narrow margin in their last encounter, expectations are high for Fiji to challenge England strongly and stay within the +23.5 handicap.

England vs Fiji Predictions
Fiji beat England in 2023 before narrowly losing a few weeks later in the Rugby World Cup. Since then, the Fijians have continued to improve and will once again look to challenge a tier one nations. I am backing Fiji to comfortably get within the +23.5 handicap.

- England have won 8 of their last 9 matches.
- Fiji have won their last 5 matches.
- Fiji lost their last match to England by 6 points.
Head to Head
England lead 2-1 in three matches against Fiji. The last two encounters both took place in 2023, one prior to the Rugby World Cup and the other in the quarterfinal of the World Cup. Fiji beat England 30-22 at Twickenham in the first game, but England managed a 30-24 win in the World Cup quarters.
England Form
England rugby is on a definite upward curve under Steve Borthwick after a few poor years under Eddie Jones. Proof of that was their impressive second place finish in the 2025 Six Nations, losing just one game.
While the English lost away to Ireland, they won their other games, most notably at home against eventual winners, France. With several players on the B+I Lions tour in July, England took a second-string side to Argentina where they beat Los Pumas twice and the USA once.
Last week, with a return of their players, England had little trouble seeing off Australia, winning the match 25-7. England looked comfortable throughout in a rather scrappy game, which was to be expected considering the rustiness of the English.
England Injuries & Team News
Borthwick has made seven changes to his side, including moving Maro Itoje to the bench. Fin Smith starts at flyhalf with Marcus Smith moving to full back as Freddie Stewart misses out through injury. Ellis Genge will lead the side.
Fiji Form
Fiji’s constant improvement in the game of 15s has continued this year and they will certainly be looking to challenge some of the big sides this November.
Prior to the B+I Lions series against Australia, Fiji played a warmup game against the Wallabies, losing 21-18. Then then went on to beat Scotland 29-14 at home, although that wasn’t a full-strength side from Scotland.
The Pacific Nations Cup followed with Fiji beating Tonga and Samoa in the group stage before thrashing Canada in the semi-final. In the final, Fiji defended their title with a 33-27 victory over Japan.
Fiji Injuries & Team News
Fiji have most of their players available for this international window, so expect them to be going full tilt at England.
Verdict
I am backing Fiji to get within the 23.5 handicap in this match.
