South Africa vs Wales U20 Predictions

South Africa have been in great touch at the 2026 World Rugby U20 Championship and are on a lengthy unbeaten run. Wales are undefeated in the tournament so far.

  • South Africa have won 9 of their last 10 fixtures.
  • South Africa scored 137 points in their 2 matches.
  • Wales have won 3 of their last 5 games.

Head to Head

South Africa have a slight edge over Wales, with two victories to one.

South Africa U20 Form

South Africa produced a solid second half against Georgia in their second match at the 2026 World Rugby U20 Championship last weekend, winning 33-5 after leading the hosts 12-5 at the break.

Earlier in the tournament, the Junior Springboks started their campaign with an emphatic victory against Uruguay, winning 104-7.

The Junior Boks are first in Pool A with ten points after two rounds.

South Africa are on course to reach the semi-finals of the tournament after back-to-back victories and will start confidently against Wales, having won nine of their last ten matches.

Wales U20 Form

Wales had no trouble in their second Pool A match against Uruguay last weekend, winning 47-0 after leading 26-0 at half-time.

Before that performance, Wales had a tough opening match at the 2026 World Rugby U20 Championship against hosts Georgia, winning 25-24.

The Welsh side are in second place in Pool A with nine points from two matches.

Wales have enjoyed a successful campaign so far and must win to reach the semi-finals; however, they face a tough assignment against the defending champions, South Africa, as their opponents are unbeaten in their last ten games.
