England are huge favourites with even the most optimistic Welsh fan willing to back this Welsh outfit. Given how good England has been recently, I am backing them to cover the -29.5 handicap at Twickenham.

England have won five of their last six matches against Wales. Wales only win in that span came during a 2023 Rugby World Cup warm-up match.

England Form

England are the form team in world rugby at the moment with 11 wins in a row. They are second favourites behind France to win the tournament – those two meet in the final round.

In the 2025 Six Nations, England lost their opening game to Ireland in Dublin but followed it up with four successive wins, including at home against France. In the July window, England beat Argentina twice and the USA.

In November, England wiped Australia and Fiji aside before seeing off New Zealand at Twickenham. They close 2025 with a 27-23 nail-biting victory over Argentina.

Wales Form

Wales on the other hand cannot seem to get any positive results and their board is a mess currently. It looks increasingly likely that one of their clubs will be axed from 2027.

Since the conclusion of the 2023 Rugby World Cup, Wales have only managed two victories – yes, two! Both of those wins came against Japan, one of which was in mid-November last year.

It was, however, followed by a 52-26 loss to New Zealand and a 73-0 drubbing by South Africa. During the 2025 Six Nations, Wales lost all five games, including against Italy.
