This will be the first ever meeting between the Reds and Moana Pasifika.

The Reds’ form has fall off a cliff over the last month. They were pushing the top two just a month ago but have now lost four in a row.

This poor form has coincided with the Reds fixtures against New Zealand opposition which does not spell good news for the Aussie side. They lost 27-25 to the Chiefs, 30-17 to the Hurricanes, 27-19 to the Highlanders and 53-26 to the Blues last weekend.

This is a match where the Reds can jump back up a few spots if they pick up all five points and few other results go in their favour.

Reds Injuries

While the Reds would have targeted this game as one to rest players, things have changed a bit. If they want to climb the table they will need to get all five points from this clash.

Moana Form

Moana started the season with so much promise, causing a massive upset by beating the Hurricanes in round three. They have however lost every other match to date.

It has proven a long season for the Super Rugby first timers but there is enough promise to believe they will be more competitive next year.

Last week Moana came unstuck against Fijian Drua, a fellow first time participant.

Reds are in poor form but at home against bottom side Moana they should be able to win. I am backing it to be by less than 17 points though.
