Waratahs vs Western Force Predictions & Tips - Force hold value in the handicap market at Bankwest Stadium

The Waratahs have made an awful start to the 2021 season, losing both of their matches by massive scorelines. The Western Force will be a better side this year and are backed to beat the Waratahs by more than three points in this one.

The Waratahs have a 11-6 advantage over their last 17 meetingd with the Western Force.

In their last encounter, the Waratahs won 28-8 in 2020.

The Waratahs lost quite a few of their top players at the end of the 2020 season and it is showing. Their young squad has been unable to deal with the quality on show in Super Rugby AU at the moment.

In week one the Waratahs lost 41-7 to the Reds before getting destroyed 61-10 in Canberra against the Brumbies last weekend. There weren’t many positives for the Tahs’ but what they can take out of it is that they played the best two teams, and both away from home.

Defensively the Waratahs are not up to scratch. Understandably, with so many young players it will take time to form a cohesive defence, but it needs to be sorted out sooner rather than later.

The Waratahs can chop and change their side but they lack the quality and depth to match the other teams in the competition.

Dave Porecki will be pushing for a start at hooker this weekend. There could be a number of other changes after the embarrassing defeat at the weekend.

The Western Force made some very astute signings before the 2021 season kicked off. After finishing bottom of the table last season, the Force will feel they have what it takes to be more than competitive this time around.

The Force had a bye last week after losing 27-11 at home to the Brumbies on the opening weekend. The scoreline hardly puts it into perspective as the Western Force dominated possession and territory for large periods.

It was the Brumbies defence that kept them at bay in the end before scoring late points. The Force will learn from those mistakes and should be far too strong for the Waratahs this weekend.

There have been no reported injuries from the Western Force after week one. They will go in with a similar lineup after an impressive first display.

The Force possess a number of high quality international players in their backline and they will licking their lips at the Waratahs defence this weekend.
