Samoa vs Fiji Predictions - Fiji to cruise to Pacific Nations Cup victory
The Samoa vs Fiji rugby match is tipped to be heavily in Fiji's favor, with statistics and recent form showing a clear edge for the Fijians. Samoa have struggled in recent games, losing their last two and failing to threaten in key matches. Fiji, on the other hand, are in fine form, winning five consecutive games against Samoa and performing strongly against international opponents. The prediction is that Fiji will cover the -25.5 handicap, highlighting their current rugby dominance.
- Fiji have won their last five matches against Samoa.
- Samoa have lost their last two games and are struggling with form.
- Fiji are predicted to cover the -25.5 handicap due to superior recent performances.

Samoa vs Fiji Predictions
This is usually a game many fans look forward to but unlike Fiji, Samoa have seemingly stagnated on the rugby front. I am backing Fiji to cover the -25.5 handicap.

Samoa Form
Samoa have not been in the best of form of late. Last year they made the Pacific Nations Cup semi-final where they suffered a 49-27 loss to Japan.
In July this year, Samoa lost 41-12 to an understrength Scotland side on home soil, so coming into the Pacific Nations Cup, they would have had hopes of improving.
However, the Samoans were outplayed in their opening fixture, losing 30-16 to Tonga. Tonga dominated much of the game with Samoa hardly ever really threatening the result.
Fiji Form
Fijian rugby is on the up on the international stage. They have been very competitive since prior to 2023 and even progressed to the quarter-final at the 2023 Rugby World Cup.
Since Fijian Drua joined Super Rugby, the flying Fijians have competed extremely well. This year they defeated Scotland 29-14 in July and narrowly lost 21-18 to Australia.
Last weekend, in their opening Pacific Nations clash, Fiji comfortably beat Tonga 32-10. They hardly had to break a sweat and also played without several first-choice players.
Verdict
Fiji shouldn’t have any problems seeing off this Samoan side. I’m backing them to win by more than 25.5 points.
