Mamelodi Sundowns vs AmaZulu Predictions - Brazilians Set for Win and Clean Sheet in PSL

Mamelodi Sundowns are the clear favorites against AmaZulu, given their strong head-to-head record and current form. The Sundowns have won 15 of their last 20 PSL matches and consistently kept AmaZulu from scoring, with nine clean sheets in their last eleven meetings. Despite minor squad injuries, Sundowns are tipped to win to zero, continuing their dominance over an AmaZulu side that has struggled for consistent results. Backing both teams not to score (BTTS No) is recommended.

Mamelodi Sundowns vs AmaZulu Predictions

Sundowns love this fixture and are backed to win. I see them keeping a clean sheet in this match.

Key Stats – Sundowns Backed for Win to Zero

  • Mamelodi Sundowns have won 15 of their last 20 PSL matches.
  • AmaZulu have failed to score in 9 of their last 11 matches vs Mamelodi Sundowns.
  • AmaZulu have lost 11 of their last 15 matches vs Mamelodi Sundowns.

Head to Head – Downs Hold Big Advantage

Sundowns hold a 28-6 advantage over AmaZulu across 42 previous meetings with eight draws.

AmaZulu have lost 12 of their last 15 matches vs Sundowns, including 1-0 at home in February 2026.

Sundowns Form – Three Wins in Five Matches This Season

Sundowns have begun with three wins, one loss and a draw in five matches. They’ve won just five of their last 10 PSL matches after 10 straight victories before that.

They beat Polokwane 3-2 in the MTN8 and won 3-2 in the PSL at TS Galaxy. A late goal was needed to rescue a 1-1 draw away at Kaizer Chiefs in an uncharacteristically poor performance.

After a 2-0 home win over Marumo Gallants in the PSL, Sundowns lost on Sunday. A 1-0 home defeat to Golden Arrows in the MTN8 semi-final first leg saw three big chances missed.

AmaZulu’s Inconsistent Form – Four Wins in 12

AmaZulu have seven points from three league matches this season. They ended last season on a run of just two wins in their final eight PSL fixtures.

This term started with a 1-0 win vs Stellenbosch as they scored a penalty. They lost 4-3 at home to Sekhukhune United in the MTN8 but picked up a credible 1-1 draw with Orlando Pirates at home.

Their last match saw a 2-0 home win over Siwelele. Usuthu put up 2.18 xG in a strong performance.

Predicted Lineups & Team News

Mamelodi Sundowns (4-2-3-1): Williams; Mdunyelwa, Kekana, Khoza, Basadien; Mokoena, Allende; Ndlovu, Mailula, Matthews; Leon.

Sundowns are without three defenders for this match. Keanu Cupido, Khulumani Ndamane and Khuliso Mudua are all ruled out.

Teboho Mokoena is doubtful in midfield. Arthur Sales is ruled out but Iqraam Rayners should return after illness to increase options up front.

AmaZulu (3-4-3): Kouassi; Mthethwa, Fielies, Hanamub; Radebe, Bern, Hlangabeza, Mdaka; Mbanjwa, Ngwenya, Maqokola.

Coach Arthur Zwane has a very settled XI. New midfielder Sphesihle Maduna could feature from the bench but he won’t start.

Thando Ngwenya is set to play up front after five goals so far this season. Keagan Allan is doubtful in defence.

Verdict

I'm backing a Sundowns win to zero in this match and BTTS No.
