A 4-0 home win against Kedus Giorgis sealed a 7-0 aggregate win in the CAF Champions League. They then beat ENPPI 3-0 at home in a cup match and then beat Ismaily 3-1 in the Egyptian Premier League.

Al Ahly’s last two matches have been in the African Football League and they progressed past Simba SC. They drew 2-2 away and then 1-1 at home to progress on away goals.
