As the football match between Cameroon and Gabon approaches, Cameroon, despite not being at their best this season, are still considered favorites. However, with Gabon's strong performance in 2025, they could potentially secure a draw. Over recent matches, Cameroon has seen mixed results while Gabon shows impressive form. The match is likely to be competitive given both teams' current standings and past match statistics. Both squads have key players fully geared for this encounter.

Cameroon vs Gabon Predictions

Cameroon have not been at their best this season but still remain overwhelming favourites. However, given Gabon’s form in 2025, I feel like they can take a point here.

  • Cameroon have kept 3 clean sheets in their last 5 matches.
  • Cameroon have won 2 of their last 5 matches.
  • Gabon have won 3 of their last 5 matches.
  • Gabon have kept 3 clean sheets in their last 5 matches.

Head to Head

Over the last six matches, Cameroon have won twice, Gabaon once along with three draws.

Cameroon Form

Cameroon are certainly among the most recognizable African teams on the global stage, however, their performances of late has left many perplexed. They recently failed to qualify for the FIFA World Cup after finishing second in their group and being knocked out in the second round.

The Indomitable Lions finished the qualifiers earlier this year with their final four matches, winning two, losing one and drawing one. It was not enough to knock Cape Verde off top spot.

Cameroon did advance to the second knockout round with a second-place finish, however, once there, DR Congo beat Cameroon 1-0.

Forwards: Bryan Mbeumo, Christian Bassogog, Georges-Kevin N'Koudou, Danny Namaso, Frank Magri, Karl Etta Eyong, Christian Kofane, Patrick Soko

Gabon Form

Gabon had had a superb 2025 and arguably were the surprise package during the FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Needing to top their group for automatic qualification, Gabon lost out by a single point to Ivory Coast.

Despite finishing second, Gabon won eight of their 10 World Cup qualifiers, losing just once. That impressive campaign got them into the semi-finals of the playoffs.

Unfortunately, on the night, Gabon just didn’t pitch up as Nigeria ran out 4-1 winners and end Gabon’s World Cup hopes.
