Guinea-Bissau vs Nigeria Preview & Tips
Nigeria have looked very strong in their opening two matches of the tournament. They will want to secure a third group stage win as they look forward to the last 16. My best bet is for the Super Eagles to win and to do so without conceding.

Head to Head
This is the first meeting between Guinea-Bissau and Nigeria.
Guinea-Bissau Form
Guinea-Bissau have one point from their opening two matches in the group. They must beat Nigeria to have any hope of qualifying for the last 16.
In their opening group fixture, Guinea Bissau drew 0-0 against Sudan. It was a match they would have fancied winning, but they failed to take their chances.
Guinea Bissau held on well against Egypt in their last match but again failed to take any of their limited chances. The Egyptians eventually made them pay to win the match 1-0. That was the sixth consecutive match where Guinea Bissau have failed to score.
Guinea-Bissau Team News
It is a must-win for Guinea-Bissau so they are likely to be a bit more attacking, at least in the second half of the match. I don’t foresee too many changes to their side to start off with though.
Goalkeepers: Jonas Mendes, Maurice Gomis, Manuel Mama Samba Balde.
Defenders: Nanu, Fali Cande, Sori Mane, Leonel Ucha, Simao Junior, Opa Sangatte, Jefferson Encada, Fernandy Mendy.
Midfielders: Pele, Bura, Joao Jaquite, Moreto Cassama, Alfa Semedo, Panutche Camara.
Forwards: Mama Balde, Piqueti, Jorginho, Mauro Rodrigues, Joseph Mendes, Steve Ambri, Frederic Mendy.
Nigeria Form
Nigeria have already confirmed their place in the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations last 16. They have won their opening two matches and will look to make it three in a row against Guinea Bissau.
The Super Eagles came into the tournament having topped their Qatar World Cup Qualifying campaign so confidence was high. They then beat Egypt 1-0 in the opener thanks to Kelechi Iheanacho’s goal.
Nigeria were even more convincing in their last match against Sudan, winning 3-1. Goals from Samuel Chukwueze, Taiwo Awoniyi and Moses Simon secured the points.
Nigeria Team News
Augustine Eguavoen may look to give a couple of fringe players a run but he won’t make too many changes. They will still want to finish on a high and carry momentum into the knockout rounds.
Goalkeepers: Daniel Akpeyi, John Noble, Maduka Okoye, Francis Uzoho
Defenders: Ola Aina, Chidozie Awaziem, Jamilu Collins, Olisa Ndah, Kenneth Omeruo, Zaidu Sanusi, William Troost Ekong, Sheyi Ajayi, Tyrone Ebuehi
