The Super Eagles had one shot on target in a 1-0 win against Ivory Coast thanks to William Troost-Ekong’s penalty. They then beat Guinea-Bissau 1-0 through an own goal, registering another solitary shot on target.

José Peseiro’s side kept a third straight clean sheet in the Round of 16, beating Cameroon 2-0. They were dominant defensively, Ademola Lookman scoring in both halves.

Wilfred Ndidi and Victor Boniface withdrew due to injury.

Angola Form


Angola had a decent start at AFCON, earning a 1-1 draw against Algeria despite creating one shot on target. Mabululu equalised from the spot after coming off the bench.

The Palancas Negras beat Mauritania 3-2 with Gelson Dala scoring twice and Gilberto adding a third from the opposite wing.

Pedro Soares Gonçalves’ side made most of their chances in a 2-0 victory over Burkina Faso. Mabululu got the start and scored first, Zine on target in added time.

Angola were involved in an exciting Round of 16 clash against Namibia after goalkeeper Neblu was sent off in the 17th minute. Gelson Dala scored in four minutes, either side of Namibia being reduced to 10 men, then assisting Mabululu for his third goal of the tournament.

Nigeria have kept improving at the Africa Cup of Nations where they have conceded once in four games. The Super Eagles can show their class up front and get past Angola.
