Both sides are in a bit of a dip, but Swansea’s recent away form has them scoring less than a goal a game. Swansea have won two, drawn two and lost just one of their last five games at Bristol. As for Bristol, they have won two of their last three home games. This is looking like a nervy draw, but likely with a goal on each side.

Top of the table Coventry have a goal difference of plus-27 and just one defeat in 15 matches. Down in 15th place is West Brom, minus-2 for goals and with six wins and six defeats notched up. Coventry won their league match near the end of last season, but West Brom won the previous four matches against Coventry. Recent form is all in favour of Coventry, who have lost just one of their last 12 games, winning eight of their last nine matches. West Brom have lost four of their last seven, scoring just five goals in that stretch. My heart is thinking an upset because of past match-ups, but that’s a high-risk call seeing as Coventry haven’t lost at home for 10 matches and West Brom have lost their last four on the bounce. Good odds for a West Brom win or a draw, but I think the safer money is on match goals.

Ipswich are on the edge of the playoff spots and have an excellent goal difference of plus-10. Ipswich are unbeaten in four, with three wins, while Wrexham have won two and drawn one of their last three matches. The two teams have never met in a league clash, so there will be a lot to play for. In Wrexham’s favour is the fact that they beat Coventry just three matches ago (the only team to beat them in the Championship this season), so I see this as a low-scoring win for Wrexham.

Middlesbrough are fighting hard to hold onto 2nd spot on the table, while Oxford are battling at the wrong side of the table, one place and three points above the drop zone. Last season Middlesbrough won 6-2 at Oxford, and the home side have lost three of their last five games, so this should be a fairly easy win for Boro in a low-scoring game.
