It was only a second win in the last eight games for Brighton.

A hamstring injury forced Danny Welbeck off early against Man City and he missed the final game of the season.

He joins long-term absentees full backs Tariq Lamptey, Solly March and forward Florin Andone on the sidelines.

Forward Neale Maupay is still out through suspension, but defender Lewis Dunk is available after his ban.

Davy Propper and Joel Veltman are unlikely to return.
