Brighton return to the AMEX this weekend after a disappointing 2-1 defeat against Bournemouth last weekend. Antoine Semenyo's second-half strike secured a well-deserved win for the Cherries.

The Seagulls have been in mixed form since the start of the season, picking up two wins and two defeats from five games played across all competitions.

Usually a force to be reckoned with at the AMEX, Brighton claimed a 2-1 win against Man City in their most recent home fixture. Fabian Hurzeler's side also picked up victories in both of their last two home Premier League games against Tottenham.

Head coach Hurzeler has several injury issues this week. Maxim de Cuyper is a doubt after limping off against Bournemouth, while Diego Gomez (illness) and Jack Hinshelwood (ankle) may also remain sidelined.

Adam Webster and Solly March are ruled out with serious knee injuries.

Tottenham Form

Tottenham make the trip to the South Coast after a nervy 1-0 win against Villarreal on their return to the Champions League on Tuesday. Luiz Junior's own-goal in the fourth minute proved the difference in a somewhat uninspiring victory for the Lilywhites.

Since the departure of Ange Postecoglou, Spurs have become more pragmatic under new boss Thomas Frank. The Londoners kept clean sheets in all three Premier League victories this season, including an impressive 2-0 win at Man City.

Frank's side will have to overcome a poor record at this venue if they are to maintain their fine defensive record. Tottenham conceded seven goals while losing both of their last two trips to the AMEX.

Head coach Frank is unable to call on a handful of first-team players for the trip to the south coast. Dominic Solanke, James Maddison, Radu Draugsin, Dejan Kulusevski, and Kota Takai are tipped to remain sidelined this weekend.

Verdict

Brighton v Tottenham

Tottenham have improved defensively, but seem unlikely to keep out a Brighton side that usually does their best work in home fixtures. BTTS is my best bet on Saturday, while I also fancy a minimum of three goals scored.
