Qatar vs Switzerland Predictions

Qatar secured their place at the 2026 FIFA World Cup through the play-offs, but have enjoyed little success in recent matches. The Swiss, by contrast, topped UEFA Group B and qualified without losing a match. Switzerland are predicted to win to nil.

  • Switzerland have won 8 of their last 13 fixtures.
  • Switzerland have scored 9 goals in 5 matches.
  • Switzerland have conceded 7 goals in 5 games.
  • Qatar have lost 7 of their last 13 fixtures.
  • Qatar have scored 2 goals in 5 games.
  • Qatar have conceded 6 goals in 5 matches.

Head to Head

Qatar have a slight edge with one victory to none against Switzerland.

Qatar Form

Qatar played two FIFA World Cup warm-up matches at the end of May and the start of June, losing 1-0 to Ireland before drawing 0-0 with El Salvador.

Before that, Al-Annabi had to cancel three international friendlies on home soil against Serbia, Argentina, and Sudan due to the Iran War in the Middle East.

The Maroons have lost three of their last five matches, with two draws. They scored two goals and conceded six.

Qatar have struggled for victories in recent matches, losing seven of their last 13 fixtures. In addition, a lack of competitive football in recent months is not ideal preparation for their opening FIFA World Cup match against Switzerland.

Switzerland Form

Switzerland had a solid build-up for the 2026 FIFA World Cup after defeating Jordan 4-1 and drawing 1-1 with Australia in two international friendlies at the end of May and the start of June.

Before those performances, the Rossocrociati faced Germany and Norway in two friendlies in March, losing 4-3 and drawing 0-0.

The Nati have secured one win in their last five fixtures, with one defeat and three draws. They scored nine goals and conceded seven.

Switzerland have not had much success in recent outings, but they have been in solid form overall, winning eight of their last 13 matches, giving them the advantage against Qatar in their opening 2026 FIFA World Cup game.
